A Voice of Silicon Bay
The choice of voice for a recording probably has more impact on its perceived quality than technical aspects affecting recording quality. For this reason Moira Healy, a trained actress, has been chosen as one of the voices of Silicon Bay.
After graduating from The University of Warwick in English and Theatre Studies, Moira undertook a Postgraduate Diploma in Acting at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
Since leaving college, she has enjoyed various roles across theatre and film, including Honey in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? on a UK theatre tour, Eileen in The Erpingham Camp at the Greenwich Playhouse and Kate in the feature film One (Distracted Limited).
Alongside her acting roles, she also developed as a voiceover artist and has been involved in several recordings for commercial advertising, documentary narration and animation characterisation.
Moira also has a keen interest in theatre directing and has been the Assistant Director on several productions in London. These include Sondheim’s musical Marry Me a Little at the Etcetera Theatre and Noel Coward’s The Rat Trap at The Finborough Theatre. The Rat Trap consequently received rave reviews and Time Out’s Critic’s Choice.
